Podewell v Podewell - May 14, 2019 - 341580
Respondent appealed the denial of his motion to terminate a PPO granted to his ex-wife 3 years after the divorce. In this case it was alleged that the Respondent continued to stalk the Petitioner after the divorce in the alleged hope of rekindling their marriage. The petitioner sent the Respondent communication asking him to stop the messages and to stop following her. The Respondent continued to stalk her after the issuance of the PPO and was convicted of aggravated stalking. The COA found that based on the Respondent’s admission during the proceedings he violated the PPO that there was no error in the trial court keeping the PPO in place.
